The Magic of Kyra MacKinnon

Kyra MacKinnon is 48 and has (sort of) accepted that her life isn’t what she’d hoped it would be. Adopted when she was an infant, she’s never known her biological family and always felt like she’s never quite fit in. Kyra is in an unsatisfying career, married to a man she isn’t sure she’s ever loved, and an empty-nester. Her only true joys are her plants and baking.

After receiving a letter informing her that she’s inherited a teashop and apothecary, Kyra does the unthinkable and takes a chance on herself. She never dreamed that she’d discover she is an Earth witch who can talk to trees and plants. Yet there are those on the island, including her half sister, who will do everything in their power to see her fail.

Kyra has a choice to make: Return to the security and familiarity of the life she knows, or risk everything for the possibility of living in a world in which she has power, choice, and belonging.
